Blood donation program

  • NSS IUM Unit and IUM Red Ribbon Club, organize blood donation camps every year, around January and September, in collaboration with Blood Bank, Aizawl Civil Hospital.

Blood Donation Camp 2022

  • IU Mizoram held a successful Blood Donation Camp on 21st September, 2022, in collaboration with the Aizawl Civil Hospital Blood Bank. During the camp, 70 units of blood were generously donated by students.

International Condom Day Awareness Program

Students and faculty members of the Red Ribbon Club attended an awareness program on 13 February 2026 organized by AIDS Healthcare Foundation and Mizoram State AIDS Control Society.

Public Toilet Construction – Selesih Village

The NSS Unit and Red Ribbon Club constructed and painted a public toilet at Selesih village on 2 March 2026 as part of their community service initiative.

Rural Camp – Bukpui Village

The Department of Social Work conducted a rural camp at Bukpui from 17–21 March 2025, including health camps, awareness programs, and community engagement activities.

GVY Awareness Camp

KVIC, in collaboration with university departments, conducted an awareness camp on entrepreneurship schemes on 20 March 2025.

Sociology Field Project – Nausel Village

The Department of Sociology conducted a village immersion and environmental awareness campaign at Nausel from 1–3 April 2025.

Good Governance Campaign

The Department of Political Science organized a campaign on Good Governance on 2 April 2025, promoting civic awareness and responsible governance.

Basic Life Saving Training

A one-day training program on life saving and first aid was conducted on 22 April 2025 to prepare staff and faculty for emergency situations.

Fir Plantation Activity

Students of the Department of Mizo & Cultural Studies carried out a fir plantation activity on 21 June 2025 at the university campus using saplings sourced from Farkawn village, with support from the NSS Unit.

Group Discussion on HIV/AIDS

Members of the Red Ribbon Club participated in a group discussion on HIV/AIDS prevention organized by Mizoram State AIDS Control Society on 29 July 2025.

Cleanliness Drive – BBA Students

First Semester BBA students conducted a cleanliness drive on 5 August 2025 under the initiative of the NSS Unit to promote a cleaner campus environment.

Interaction with Ephatha Special School

The Department of Social Work organized an interactive session with Ephatha Special School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing on 28 August 2025, focusing on inclusive education.

The Red Ribbon Club and NSS Unit, in collaboration with Civil Hospital Aizawl, organized a Blood Donation Camp on 13 October 2025, with 63 donors participating.

A Clean Campus Day was organized on 12 March 2024 in collaboration with the NSS IUM Unit. Departments cleaned designated campus areas to promote environmental responsibility.

River Tlawng Clean-up Drive

Students and faculty of the Geography Department conducted a clean-up drive along River Tlawng on 20 March 2024 to promote environmental awareness and river conservation.

Alumni Social Initiative

The IUM Alumni Association visited THT Zuangtui and TBCC Sakawrtuichhun on 23 May 2024, distributing essential supplies in support of community welfare.

World No Tobacco Day – NSS Activity

The NSS IUM Unit observed World No Tobacco Day on 31 May 2024 at Govt. Bethlehem Primary School through awareness programs and student engagement activities.

Green Mizoram Day

Tree plantation and campus cleaning activities were conducted on 11 June 2024 under the NSS initiative to promote environmental sustainability.

HIV/AIDS Awareness Rally

Members of the Red Ribbon Club participated in an awareness rally on 10 September 2024 on HIV/AIDS and STI organized by the District AIDS Prevention & Control Campaign.

Orientation on Mental Health

A program on “Orientation on Mental Health for Adolescents and Young Adults” was organized on 16 September 2024 in collaboration with SHALOM and PATH.

Clean Campus Day (Gandhi Jayanti)

To commemorate Gandhi Jayanti, the ECO Club organized a Clean Campus Day on 2 October 2024 at the university campus.

Visiting Homes – Social Outreach

Staff members visited PR Home (Mualmam) and Samaritan Riangvai Run (Seling) on 20 December 2024, distributing essential supplies as part of social outreach.

Green Mizoram Day 2022

On 9th June, 2022, ICFAI University observed NSS Green Mizoram Day at the Campus. This initiative involved planting 50 saplings on campus, fostering a greener environment for the university community. The main objective of this event was to cultivate a deeper understanding of environmental responsibility among students and staff. Through this program, participants gained valuable knowledge on how to contribute to a more sustainable Mizoram.

In the spirit of giving, ICFAI University Mizoram's teaching and non-teaching staff members embarked on heartwarming visits to two local orphanages in December 2022.

Bethany Children's Home (United Pentecostal Church of Mizoram

On 21st December, 2022, non-teaching staff members visited Bethany Children's Home, bringing Christmas joy to the children. They presented gifts of toys and basic necessities, wishing a brighter holiday season for the residents.

Vanpalai Team Home

On the following day, faculty and non-teaching staff members brought Christmas cheer to Vanpalai Team Home, another orphanage in the area. They presented the children with some basic necessities as Christmas gifts.

The ECO Club takes active part in public welfare programs by organizing ‘Cleanliness Drive’, ‘Plogging Drive’ and building bird-nest boxes around the campus.

Plogging Drive 2023

The University’ Eco Club organized a ‘Plogging Drive’ at Durtlang Road (Bawngkawn to Leitan) on 27th February, 2023 with the theme “Together Towards Garbage Free Mizoram” as part of the preparations for the G-20 meeting in the state. Participants actively combined jogging with picking up litter, promoting both exercise and environmental cleanliness.

The drive was sponsored by the Urban Development & Poverty Alleviation Department, Government of Mizoram. Durtlang North Local Council also contributed towards arranging refreshments for the participants during the drive.

HIV Self-Test Drive 2023

In an initiative promoting public health awareness, the university’ Red Ribbon Club joined forces with ICMR-NARI, Pune and the Department of Social Work, ICFAI University Mizoram to organize an HIV Self-Test Drive at the NJ Yasaswy Memorial Auditorium on 7th March, 2023.

World Health Day 2022

ICFAI University Mizoram’s Department of Social Work in association with Durex the Birds and Bees Talk Project by Plan India celebrated World Health Day on 7th April, 2022 at the Synod Conference Centre, Aizawl. The theme, "Our Planet, Our Health," was cleverly intertwined with The Birds and the Bees Talk Project sparking important conversations about sexual and reproductive health.

The event featured esteemed guests, including the Secretary of Mizoram School Education Department and the reigning Miss Mizoram. Vice Chancellor of ICFAI University, representatives from the Mizo Students Union (MSU) and Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP), and students from four Aizawl district schools all participated.

Signature Campaign 2022

The university’s White Ribbon Club organized a signature campaign on the ICFAI University campus on 12th October, 2022 to raise mental health awareness. The theme, "Make Mental Health and Well-being for All a Global Priority," resonated with students as they pledged their support for mental health advocacy.

Rural Camp 2022

3rd Semester students of MA Social Work organized a week-long Rural Camp in Sailam Village from September 26th to October 1st, 2022, to address community needs. Different programs were organized in collaboration with various government and non-governmental organizations.

Road Safety Awareness Program 2022

IU Mizoram collaborated with the Transport Department to organize a Motor Vehicle Act and Road Safety Awareness Program on 22nd September, 2022, at the University Campus. Guests included the Director and Joint Director from the Transport Department, Government of Mizoram, and Sub-Inspector, MVI.

Cleanliness Drive 2022

ICFAI University Mizoram celebrated the 53rd NSS Foundation Day with a cleanliness drive on 16th September, 2022. Students and staff actively participated in cleaning the university campus.

e-Waste Management Awareness Program 2022

IU Mizoram partnered with Karo Sambhav, a leading e-waste management organization, to host an Awareness Program on "E-Waste Management" on 2nd November, 2022, at the university auditorium.

WinterFest 2022 for Awareness on HIV/AIDS

The university’s Red Ribbon Club hosted Winter Fest on 10th November, 2022, a fun and informative event to raise awareness on HIV/AIDS.

The event featured presentations from the below mentioned distinguished guests.

  • Mr. Samuel Zorammawia, Project Coordinator at The Birds and Bees Talk Project, Plan India and IUM Alum (2020 MA Social Work Graduate)

The organizers created a festive atmosphere beyond lectures, with activities like face painting, DIY crafts, and food stalls to make the experience more enjoyable.
